Dear Brother
I have been looking for a letter from you for soem time but have not receive[d] it yet. I should like to hear from you all onece more befor Commensement it is not very long now the Commensement it is only five weeks I want you to be shure and come up there and come in a buggy for if you do not come after me I dont know how I will get home, Uncke Zek would suffer me to stay here always befor he would send for me, (he told me) he was talking about not sending for Jane, he was not going to send for her at all, but he want me to send for her now. I hope she will get home independent of him.

I think Commensement come off at Statesvill the 10th of July it come of here the 10th of July but but the speaking commenses the day before on wednesday,there will be 5 speaches on wednesday and 6 on that night and 4 on thursday. be shure and come wednesday morning or you will miss the best part of it. We will have plenty of time to go home thursday eavning, evry thing is quiet yet. This is a great plase for strawberyes I have had a many as I wanted for the last two weeks nearly every fellow had a mess last night with sugar an milk and we frequently have strawbery pies. I wish I had have gon home from Charlotte the 20 for there was not mutch don here the rest of the week I want you to write and tell me if you are coming up

so I will know what to depend upon. If you can’t come I expect I can get some way to come home. I suppose you have got your cabins put up and will be living upon the hill when I come. I have nothing more be shure and don’t miss the day Come the 15 of July , write soon and tell me whether you can come or not
