Last week I attended the conference of the major professional society for academic librarians, the Association of College and Research Libraries. I’ve been to every one of their conferences, which are usually held every other year, since 1986. Update on our Swank Motion Pictures movie contract: We put 50 streaming movies on reserve during the fall semester. Faculty and student reviews of the service have been positive, citing the ease and flexibility of showing films or having students watch on their own. When you discover that perfect item you need for your class or research, all you have to do is fill out an Interlibrary Loan Request, just as you would if we didn’t own the item.
