The Under the Lake library of lesson plans features instructional activities for a variety of grade levels and subject areas. The plans were created by public school teachers and the funding for the project was provided by the Duke Energy Foundation. Teachers involved in this work are Celia Arch, Eric Dykes, JoCelyn Roundtree, Carolyn Singleton, Erika Williams.
Our intention is to provide new avenues for exploring the history of lake and the roles it has played in the area. While designed for school use, anyone can browse through and try out new ways of learning.
